OOO RUSPACE have accepted design documentation for the Triton-O ultra-high resolution optical Earth observation spacecraft

OOO RUSPACE have accepted design documentation for the Triton-O ultra-high resolution optical Earth observation spacecraft. The Scientific and Technical Council, which includes leading experts from the rocket and space industry, reviewed the development results in the presence of investors and potential customers and confirmed full compliance with the technical assignment requirements.

The Triton-O spacecraft will ensure imaging of the Earth's surface with a spatial resolution of 0.25 m/pixel in the 10.5 km swath in Frame and Route modes and up to 53 km in Broadband mode. The satellite mass is 770 kg, and its dimensions allow simultaneous launching of two spacecraft into a working orbit using a single Soyuz-2 launch vehicle with a Fregat upper stage.

The use of proven technical solutions in the creation of on-board equipment for a space bus minimizes risks at the stage of satellite development and production.

The production and testing of dynamic and thermal mock-ups of Triton-O is planned for the next year, as well as the production of flight models of the satellite's onboard equipment.
